Laser removal of skin imperfections with a CO2 laser is a one-off, short and minimally invasive procedure that allows you to maintain beautiful, smooth and, above all, healthy skin.
Indications:
- Viral and verruca warts,
- Genital warts,
- Soft fibrils,
- Selected types of blemishes,
- Sebaceous Hyperplasia,
- Infantile hemangioma.
How to prepare for the procedure:
- A dermatological consultation is necessary, however the procedure may be performed on the same day.
- The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia. This is especially recommended for children.
Procedure scenario:
- The treatment does not require any special preparation.
- This is a standalone treatment, during which many changes can be removed.
- The CO2 laser produces short light pulses that are emitted in a very short time. It closes the vessels with precision and causes the water to evaporate from the change and, thus cause its extinction.
- The patient may feel warmth and minor burning.
After the procedure:
- The patient can return to their daily activities. Following the procedure, there will be shallow tissue erosion that will cover itself with a scab after 2-3 days. The healing process takes about a week, and the pain is minimal. It is possible that in the treated areas a slight discolouration may remain.
- The treated area should not be exposed to the sun for about a month after the procedure, due to the possibility of causing discolouration.
Contraindications:
- Active infections in the treated area.
- Proneness to forming keloids.
