Exosomes ‒ an innovation in regenerative medicine. Exosomes are extracellular vesicles released by stem cells. They have strong regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties. Exosome-based treatments intensify the synthesis of collagen and elastin in the skin, enhance angiogenesis, accelerate wound healing, and stimulate cellular differentiation.
Indications:
- anti-ageing for people of all ages
- skin photoageing, loss of firmness, flaccidity
- uneven skin colour, discolouration
- acne, rosacea
- scars, e.g. acne blemishes
- wrinkles and furrows
- visible pores
How to prepare for the procedure:
- A medical consultation with a dermatologist is necessary to be qualified for the procedure.
- During the week prior to the procedure, you should not take any anticoagulants.
- The treated area can be numbed using an anaesthetic cream.
Procedure description and effects:
- Exosomes are introduced into the skin by microneedling with DERMAPEN 4.
- Micro-punctures mechanically stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin in the skin.
- The patient may feel discomfort, burning, stinging or heat sensation. Occasionally small petechiae may appear.
- Following the treatment, you will experience a visible improvement in skin elasticity, firmness, and colour. The skin is denser and more plump, pores, fine lines and scars are visibly reduced.
- For optimum long-lasting effect a course of 4-6 treatments is recommended in 4-6 week intervals.
After the procedure:
- The skin may be irritated and slightly swollen, but these symptoms will fade after 1-3 days. After a few days, exfoliation of the epidermis may occur as a post-inflammatory reaction.
- It is advised to avoid saunas and extremely high or low temperatures for 48 hours following the procedure.
- Refrain from using swimming pools for 2-3 days after the procedure.
- The treatment performed at the clinic is complemented by a routine at home. It involves using an exosome-rich serum containing active ingredients which further stimulates skin regeneration. This serum should be used for 4-12 weeks after the procedure.
Contraindications:
- acute viral or bacterial skin infections
- pregnancy
