How to prepare for the procedure:
- The procedure is carried out following a consultation with the specialist.
- Topical anaesthetic cream is applied directly onto the treated area before the procedure.
- A few days before the procedure refrain from using facial cream and other cosmetics containing retinoids and acids.
- Do not perform any exfoliation procedures such as peels or microdermabrasion.
Procedure description and effects:

- This is a short procedure.

After the procedure:
- Erythema and slight swelling may occur immediately after treatment and stay for up to 24 hours.
- We recommend that you use a regenerating, moisturising cream with UV filter for a couple of days after the treatment.
- Avoid physical activity, hot baths and sauna in the first week after the procedure.
- It is also recommended to abstain from exposing skin to the sun for 4 weeks following the procedure.
- It is recommended to stay hydrated and drink water regularly.

- use of photosensitising drugs, be it antibiotics, steroids, or herbs
- use of photosensitising herbs, such as St John’s wort, marigold, common horsetail
- retinoid treatment, both topical and general
